House Assembly 5/12/17

Enterprise House conducted the Assembly on 5 December 2017. It was blend of three languages: Sanskrit, Hindi and English. The topic was " Healthy Food ". The introduction was given by students in English, followed by a short skit in Sanskrit. It explained the importance of different components of food. This was followed by a short medley of songs focusing on eating healthy food and not eating junk food. It was a great fun.

HOUSE TAGLINE: - EXPLORING NEW VISTAS SESSION: - (2018-19) VENUE: - SCHOOL PLAY GROUND (STAGE) DATE: - 2 ND MAY 2018 ORGANISED BY: - TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF ENTERPRISE HOUSE HOUSE TAGLINE: - “EXPLORING NEW VISTAS’ ’       Humans are constantly exploring new horizons which in turn raise the bar for new ideas to conquer the next step in exploration. With a zeal to explore new innings, the Enterprise House pledged to strive hard to follow its tagline. “EXPLORING NEW VISTAS” The assembly began on a refreshing note with a meaningful introduction by one of the students of Enterprise House. The students displayed various areas that can be explored with the help of placards. The different areas of exploration displayed were: - Education, Science and Technology, Space, Nation Building, Health and Media, Social Media, Tourism, Environment. ARECA PALM Dypsis lutescens or Areca palm  grows 6–12 m (20–39 ft) in height. Multiple stems emerge from the base. The  leaves  are arched, 2–3 m (6 ft 7 in–9 ft 10 in) long, and  pinnate , with 40-60 pairs of leaflets. It bears  panicles  of yellow flowers in summer.  Offsets  can be cut off when mature enough, as a  propagation  method. It is grown as an  ornamental plant  in gardens in tropical and subtropical regions, and elsewhere indoors as a  houseplant . It has gained the  Royal Horticultural Society 's  Award of Garden Merit . BENEFITS According to NASA and Dr. B. C. Wolverton, the areca palm filters  xylene  and toluene  from the air. Wolverton also specifies that, at 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) in height, the plant will transpire 1 liter of water per 24 hours, thereby making it an effective humidifier.
